Board of Directors

Steven has more than 30 years’ experience in general management positions in the wholesale consumer goods industry and was the former Managing Director of the Voyager Group. Prior to entering the consumer goods industry, Steven was a practising chartered accountant having qualified with a Bachelor of Accounting degree in South Africa.

Steven joined the Board of The Reject Shop in June 2019.  Steven has served as a director of the following other listed companies: Laybuy Group Holdings Limited (ongoing – director since 2020) and Breville Group Limited (director 2004 to 2021).

David is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the accounting profession and the commercial sector. David’s executive career included roles with Goodman Fielder Limited and Iluka Resources Limited.

David is currently a non-executive director of a range of publicly listed entities and is the chairman of the audit and risk committee of several of these entities.

David joined the Board of The Reject Shop in May 2020 and has served as a director of the following other listed companies: Event Hospitality and Entertainment Limited (ongoing – director since 2013), Retail Food Group Limited (ongoing – director since 2018) and A2B Australia Limited (director 2020 to 2022).

Nick is the Managing Director and General Counsel of Kin Group Pty Ltd, which is a substantial shareholder of The Reject Shop. The Kin Group is a diversified, global, long-term focused investor with offices in Melbourne and New York.

Nick has held a variety of roles within the Kin Group, and its subsidiary businesses, for over a period of 17 years, including 10 years as the General Counsel of Pact Group Limited.

Nick joined the Board of The Reject Shop in May 2020.

Margaret is a specialist in customer centered business transformation, brand strategy, innovation, digital communications, customer experience and change leadership.

Margaret has more than 20 years of senior executive experience working across major companies and brands in fast-moving consumer goods, food, technology and communications industries including multinationals, ASX100 companies and not-for-profits.

Margaret’s executive experience includes National Marketing Director for Lion Nathan, Vice President of Marketing for McDonald’s Australia and Chief Executive Officer of Advertising Council Australia (formerly known as The Communications Council).

Margaret is currently a non-executive director of a range of entities including G8 Education Limited (appointed September 2017), Collective Wellness Group (appointed August 2018) and Fairtrade Australia and New Zealand (appointed January 2019).

Margaret joined the Board of The Reject Shop in June 2021.

Management Team

Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer

Clinton has experience across investment banking at UBS, private equity at TPG Capital and corporate strategy at Crown Resorts.

Clinton Cahn was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 1 May 2020 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 24 August 2023.

 As CFO, Clinton has overseen The Reject Shop’s Accounting, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain and Technology teams, and has been responsible for investor relations.

Clinton held the role of Acting CEO from April 2022 to July 2022 and again from February 2023 to August 2023.

Clinton joined The Reject Shop in March 2020.

Amy is an experienced retail professional, with extensive international merchandise experience and deep knowledge of discount variety retail, having worked in both Australia and the United States.

Prior to joining The Reject Shop, Amy held the combined role of Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Buying, Merchandising & Sourcing at CTS (formerly known as Christmas Tree Shops) based in New Jersey. CTS is a specialty retailer with 80 stores that combines low price every day and seasonal merchandise. In her time with CTS, Amy was responsible for developing and executing a compelling merchandise offer to meet the needs and wants of customers in a very competitive and challenging marketplace.

Amy was appointed Chief Operating Officer of The Reject Shop on 28 April 2022.

Andrew has more than 25 years of experience in discount variety retail in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.

In the US, Andrew was Chief Marketing Officer at Kmart where he led the brand repositioning, the development of the loyalty program, and creating Cannes Lion award-winning advertising. At Big Lots, Andrew was the Chief Customer Officer and led the brand reinvention, the launch and building of e-commerce, the redevelopment of the loyalty program and several years of comparable store sales growth.

Andrew then moved to the Warehouse Group in New Zealand to lead Customer Strategy and Demand Generation in the new agile structure for The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming brands.

Andrew joined the Reject Shop in March 2022.

Tash is an accomplished Human Resources professional who has worked in various industries and sectors in Australia and the United States, including at Hertz, 7-11 and Amazon. Tash specialises in organisational development, talent management and executive coaching. Tash oversees the Safety, Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, Employee Relations and Payroll functions at The Reject Shop.

Tash holds a Bachelor of Business Management specialising in Human Resources Management and Marketing.

Tash joined The Reject Shop in April 2023 as Head of Business Partnering and was appointed General Manager, People and Culture in May 2024.

Dave has nearly 30 years of technology experience, with over 20 years’ experience in retail focused technology roles.

Prior to joining The Reject Shop, Dave held a number of senior technology roles at Kmart. During his time at Kmart, Dave helped define the technology strategy, lead major transformation initiatives from a technology and business perspective and was instrumental in enabling the enhanced use of data to drive business outcomes.

Dave joined The Reject Shop as Head of Technology in July 2021 and was appointed General Manager, Technology  in October 2023.

Lauren is an experienced legal and governance practitioner, having previously held roles at a top tier law firm (Ashurst) and a number of ASX 100 companies across a range of industries. Lauren has oversight of the Quality & Product Compliance, Legal and Company Secretarial functions at The Reject Shop.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Lauren joined The Reject Shop as General Counsel in January 2024 and was appointed Company Secretary in February 2024.

Paul is an experienced senior level professional with over 20 years’ experience in retail property, working with major retailers and major landlords throughout Australia.

Paul held senior roles for 10 years with leading ASX listed property trusts and commercial agencies in centre management, leasing and development. Paul then held senior property roles with Wesfarmers-owned Kmart Australia from 2009 and incorporated Target Australia from 2016. During this time, Paul was part of the property leadership team that delivered major store network growth to assist with re-positioning Kmart Australia.

Paul joined The Reject Shop in February 2020.

John Bacon has over 25 years of retail experience having worked at Coles, Coles Liquor, Lovisa and, as a supply chain consultant with a variety of other retailers. As a consultant, John has worked on a variety of supply chain transformation projects with each of Woolworths, Bras N Things and Pillow Talk while also assisting Forever New and Cotton On.

Since 2017, John has developed his skillset to include managing supply chains in domestic and international contexts where he provides proactive leadership to build supply chain capacity, capability and resilience.

John is keen to contribute to the learning and development of the next generation of retailers through education and mentoring. John is a sessional lecturer at the University of Melbourne in e-commerce and supply chain.

John joined The Reject Shop in December 2022.

The Reject Shop Foundation

 The Reject Shop Foundation was launched in June 2014 as an integral part of The Reject Shop’s commitment to give back to the communities where we operate and where our team members live. 

Recently, we reviewed charity partners to support that align with our values and mission, and could create a meaningful impact in the communities in which we serve. 

We narrowed down our search to three charities and gave our team members across the business an opportunity to vote on which of these charities The Reject Shop should partner with. 

Our teams have chosen to support LIVIN; an organisation that delivers mental health education in schools across the country, promoting positive mental health and well-being for people via early education and awareness programs.

By supporting LIVIN, we are joining a community that is working to reduce the stigma of mental health while improving mental fitness through early intervention and prevention initiatives. 

Donations will go directly towards funding the LIVINWell In-Schools Program and also help train new facilitators to provide valuable resources to students nationally.

Proactively lead and deliver mental health education in schools and workplaces around the country;

promote positive mental health and well-being for people through early education and awareness programs;

connect with people through innovative means;

create a brand-led movement that people can relate to and build an enduring relationship with;

create communities around Australia who lead and champion LIVIN’s vision.

LIVIN was chosen by our teams.  Three charities were presented to our team members and LIVIN resonated with our team members the most.

We are joining a community that was started by family for families and the LIVIN community is now an extension of our family at The Reject Shop.  

Although the LIVINWell program is offered to schools, free of charge, it still costs the LIVIN team on average, $683 to facilitate each program. Every dollar raised assists LIVIN in delivering these programs to our schools.

Far too many young Australians are struggling with their mental health, and we are proud to be partnering with such a great organisation that works so hard to combat this.

Every amount raised, no matter how big or small, could help kickstart potentially life-changing conversations surrounding mental health.

All team members are encouraged to help by participating in Workplace Giving 

We truly believe that our team members at The Reject Shop, will make wonderful LIVIN ambassadors and bring meaning and purpose to supporting a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young Australians.


At LIVIN, and with the help of all of us at The Reject Shop, we want to create a world where everyone understands and accepts that ‘It Ain’t Weak to Speak.’

Covid Information

 The Reject Shop is a national grocery retailer stocking a wide range of essential items for the community, including pantry staples, toiletries, baby necessities and cleaning products. 

We provide low prices for suburban, metropolitan, rural, and regional communities throughout the country, ensuring our customers have access to, and save money on the everyday essential items that many Australians rely on.

Our stores are thoroughly and regularly sanitized and for those unable to shop in-store, The Reject Shop is also available for delivery via Door Dash.

In the interest of public health during the COVID-19 outbreak, The Reject Shop appreciates your cooperation with the following, as we work together to keep our community and team members safe.

• In line with the current COVID safe settings, we ask that all visitors to our stores wear a face mask as required unless you have a lawful exemption.

• Please do not visit The Reject Shop if you are feeling unwell or if you have traveled to or from an area experiencing a breakout of COVID-19.

• Keeping apart keeps us safe. Maintain 1.5 meters between you and your fellow customers at all times.

• Please adhere to the capacity limits identified for each store.

• Please use the hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes provided.

• We encourage cashless transactions where possible.

Delivery Requirements

All deliveries must be booked minimum 2 weeks prior to actual delivery. Deliveries without a booking will not be accepted or unloaded.
When booking a delivery the following information must be supplied:

All deliveries must be available from the date stated on the Purchase Order. Any variations to this must be agreed to by the relevant Buyer prior to booking.

Only the products and quantities stated on the Purchase Order will be accepted. A separate invoice and correctly completed pallet dockets (as per Pallet Transfer Policy below) must accompany all deliveries.
Inner and outer cartons must comply with the following:

Inner/outer pack quantities must be consistent with the Purchase Order;

Inner/outer cartons must be of consistent product and quantity; and

Cartons must be packed in a manner which will sufficiently protect the selling unit.
